Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Ethiopian Bible Guide website, mobile app, and study platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Ethiopian Bible Guide ("we," "us," or "our").

The Service provides a guided 52-week study program exploring the Ethiopian biblical canon, including Scripture readings, devotionals, audio narration, reflection prompts, community discussion forums, and downloadable study materials. Some features require a paid subscription.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes that affect your subscription.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if your conduct violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select) until you cancel. Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider, Stripe.

You authorize us to charge the applicable subscription fees to your payment method. If your payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

We may change subscription fees with reasonable advance notice. Any price change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle after notice is given.

You retain ownership of content you post to community forums, discussion boards, voice notes, and verse highlights (your "User Content"). By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and use your User Content within the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes the rights of others. We may remove or hide any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, and we may terminate accounts of repeat violators.

You represent that you have all necessary rights to the User Content you post and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

The Service, including its curriculum, design, audio, and software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Scripture texts are drawn from public-domain or authorized sources and are attributed accordingly.

You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission. Downloaded study summaries are for your personal, non-commercial use only.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate another user.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Use automated scripts or bots to access or scrape the Service.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or introduce malware.
• Reproduce, sell, or resell access to the Service without permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that study content is completely accurate.

The Service provides educational and spiritual content for personal study. It is not a substitute for professional religious, legal, medical, or psychological advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without cause or notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will remain in effect.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
